Turkey Labeling and Packaging Industry - Short Survey

Statements aimed to reveal views on the present state of the sector and future investment expectations for the areas of preference in this sector, the confidence in the sector internally and abroad, were shown to the decision-makers of the Print Industry technology and material supply companies.  Decision-makers were asked to rate the statements presented from 1 to 10. A graph was prepared for each statement and submitted for review to be added to the report along with the averages.  All of the respondents were from the heart of the Turkish Printing Industry (distributors and/or Turkish branches of producers) who follow the market closely, see or foresee all the present and potential projects.

The results of the study prepared to reveal the impact of the latest developments on the sector players are shown below;
The investment plans are higher in the packaging area compared to labeling.  Even though the investments in the labeling area are not low; the prevailing opinion of the interviewees observed by the points given, shows that the investments in the year 2017 will be stable.
Digital printing investments in question show there will be an upward movement.
Interviewees have a neutral opinion regarding the future popularity of Hybrid machines.
At the same time interviewees agree that in Turkey flexible packaging is more popular than cardboard packaging.
As a result of this survey, in addition to determining that the investor has fairly low confidence in market conditions and Turkish economy; it is also observed among the technology and machinery producers abroad there is a decline in confidence in the Turkish Market.
Based on the opinion that came forth from the final statement presented to the interviewees, the political developments in Turkey over the last year has shaken the confidence of the Turkish printing and converting sector in investment and market areas.
